Cannabis: What is H4CBD?

Cannabis : Qu’est-ce que le H4CBD ?

Each day brings its share of discoveries in the world of CBD, a molecule whose possibilities seem endless. Today, we focus on H4CBD, also known as hydrogenated CBD. This molecule, which shares similarities with CBD, has the advantage of guaranteeing no psychoactive effects or THC. This should reassure users who might be considering taking the plunge and trying it.

Among the potential benefits observed are improved sleep quality and regulation of the circadian rhythm, as well as reduced stress and anxiety.

Also, relief from certain types of pain, some effectiveness against inflammation, a positive impact on the immune system, and a general sense of well-being.

The intensity of H4CBD seems more potent than that of CBD and similarly appears to act on psychological, physical, and physiological aspects.

H4CBD, a better version of CBD?

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to the HHC molecule on the Canebiera blog, whose dangerousness is considered to be greater than that of THC for health. The main reason: the uncontrolled content of THC or HHC, which leads to altered consciousness, addictions, undesirable drug interactions, or side effects on some of our organs.

This is not the case with H4CBD, which could be presented as an improved version of CBD itself: no alteration of consciousness or psychoactive effects, which de facto makes it a more suitable choice for users looking for the benefits of CBD.

From a chemical point of view, the hydrogenation of the CBD molecule by four additional hydrogen atoms (H4) results in a tenfold increase in its effectiveness and strengthens the stability of the molecule as a whole. This also guarantees better production yields.

The H4CBD molecule is not listed in the category of narcotics at the time of writing: it is therefore legal.

However, France's position is not clear. The government has not yet enacted legislation on the matter and is slow to communicate its position. In other words: the consumption and production of H4CBD are currently authorized, provided that the products in question comply with THC levels.
